Learn how to reframe your skills and market your abilities to improve your career potential. This workshop will focus on transferrable skills and abilities to take with you into the work force. It will also include an overview of resume/CV building. Finally, learn the keys to successfully navigating Career/Industry Fairs.

Informational interviews are one of the most effective networking strategies. Learn about informational interviews and how to use them to learn more about career options that interest you, fast-track answers to your career questions, and create career opportunities. In this interactive workshop, students will practice informational interviewing.

This is an interactive workshop delivering practical strategies and tools for recognizing, connecting and communicating your value to an employer. Manitoba employers need a skilled workforce that’s efficient, effective and adaptable, while workers need the skills required for success at work. It’s more than just technical knowledge and skills. This career panel workshop will connect you with St. Boniface Hospital Research alumni who have established interesting careers beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. Panelists will answer questions and provide valuable career tips/advice. Current students can learn more about post-graduate careers and opportunities, and gain insight on life after grad school from alumni with relevant experience. Afterward the panel discussion, students will get the opportunity to speak and network with the panelists over lunch.
